Timothy (Timmy) Hamer was born February 27, 1958, in Memphis, TN. A gifted contractor, Tim contributed
his skills to so much of the Memphis landscape, from large commercial buildings and complexes to individual
residences. Although contracting was his profession, he was equally well known by family, friends and
acquaintances for his love of blues music, sparkling personality, and exceptional barbecuing skills. He
survived by his girlfriend: Toleda, children: Timothy “Duke” (son) Darneka (daughter-in-law), Feleica
(daughter), Amber (daughter), Alicia (daughter), grandchildren: Trinity, Mar’kyla, Dayveon, Abigail,
Aniyah, Noah, and Amiyah, siblings: Thomas, Samantha, Tomegia, Earl, Angielique, Theresa, Kenneth,
Montreal, Rickey (deceased), and Darnell (deceased). Tim’s warmth and spirit of joy will be missed by the
many members of his large family, and because he was such a friendly and inclusive person, he will also be
missed by countless others to whom be became like a brother, an uncle, and father.
