Veola Rankins,72, died May 11, 2018.
Veola Rankin was born March 29, 1946 in Glendora, Mississippi to the late Eugene and Worley Sims. She was the oldest of eleven children. She accepted Christ at an early age.
Veola grew up in Memphis and attended Melrose High school. After school, she went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, helping numerous patients and families until her retirement.
Veola was happily married to Jesse Rankins for over two decades. Veola will be forever remembered by her loving husband, Jesse Rankins; her loving children, Sharon Bearden, Bennie Wilson (Teetranetta), Michael Wilson, Cyretta Wilburn, Connie Rankins, Elmira Noble and David Murphy; siblings, Rachel Sims Blair (James), Francine Freeman ( Wayne), Gennie Suggs Smith, J.T. Clark (Collin), James Arthur Sims, Jacqueline Jones, Lenora Arnold, and Cora Farmer; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
