Virginia Kearney was born May 12, 1928 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Rev.
Phillip and Louise Harris. She departed this life on May 5, 2020.
She was a member of New Philadelphia Baptist Church. Later, she united with
Robinhood Missionary Baptist Church. Virginia served on the Usher Board until
her health failed.
She was married to the late Joseph Kearney, Sr. whom preceded her in death. She
was preceded in death by one son, James Kearney and another son after death,
Joseph Kearney, Jr. (BoBo).
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters: Barbara Coleman, Virginia
Sherrod (Ronald Sherrod, Sr.); two sons: Phillip Kearney, Jerry Kearney (Yvett
Kearney). She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law;
Rachel Kearney and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
