Wheeler Richard Cole, a beloved father, at the age of 68, went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2024. Born in Memphis, TN, he was the son of Coline Smith and the late Carl Milton Cole. Wheeler was a proud graduate of Millington Central High School.
Wheeler was known for his deep love and care for his family. As a father, he took great joy in cooking, always ensuring that visitors left well-fed and often sending them home with food from his freezer—one of his favorite things to do. He equally enjoyed fishing, grilling, and his exceptionally sweet tea. Additionally, he cherished the quiet moments on his front porch, often with an occasional cold Coke.
Professionally, Wheeler worked as a contractor, specializing in remodeling residential properties. He often humorously described himself as a "jack of all trades, master of none." Wheeler's gentle, kind, and peaceful nature made him the life of any family gathering, and he was a friend to everyone he met.
He leaves behind cherished memories with his three daughters: Kisha Cole, Tiffany Cole-Strong (Levi), and Cicely Almahmoud. He is also survived by two sisters, Brenda Cole and Sandra Cole; two brothers, Terrence Cole (Sharon) and Kenneth Cole; nine grandchildren: Kelexicia Burks, Ayana Burks, Kevin Burks Jr., Ivanna Smith, Caylin Cole, Christian Cole, Taniya Tate, Trabian Tate, and Olivia Cooks; one great-granddaughter, Azayla Burks; and many nieces and nephews who were dearly loved.
