Obituary for William Earl Staten
William Earl Staten, 80, died February 3, 2016.
Bill Staten was born on July 31, 1935 to the late Mr. William and Verla Staten in Aberdeen, Mississippi.
Throughout his childhood, Bill became a very independent and hardworking young man. At a young age, he moved to Memphis with his five children and his wife, Louise. An entrepreneur at heart, he founded the Bill Staten Painting Company and it continued for over 51 years.
Not only was he a hard worker, he was fun loving and kind-hearted to all who knew him. He never met a stranger. He filled his life with love and laughter. He is greatly loved and will be missed by his five children, ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held 3:00 - 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 6 at Serenity Funeral Home.
