William Steward, 77, died March 24, 2018.

William steward was born to Ophia Arnold on November 16, 1940 in Newton, AR. He was raised by his uncle Will, who he was also named after.

He retired from consolidated freight. He was a member of Brown Baptist. He departed this life March 24, 2018 at Methodist Germantown.

He leaves behind his wife Odessa Steward of 57 years; three sons, William Steward Jr., Calvin Steward, Sr. (Heidi), Alberto Steward ( Jeanie); five daughters, Ophia Steward, Carmela Collins (Curtis), Teresa Johnson ( Charles), Stacey Steward-McDowell (Terrence), and Talescia Steward. He also raised seven grandsons, Kerry Steward (Savanna), Keno Steward, (Jerie), Terrance Steward, Kelvin Steward, Sr. (Gloria), Randall Steward (Leana), Cory Steward, Meshawn Steward; twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ophia Arnold; brother, Calvin Clark; and sisters, Catherine Clark and Willadean Rose Logan. He leaves to cherish his memory his brother and best friend, James Steward, Sr. of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and sister , Rhonda Chaney (John) of Newtown, Arkansas.
