William T. Richardson was born June 7, 1948, to Robert Ray Hayslett and Alice Grandberry in Rossville, Tn. He was a graduate of Fayette Ware High School in Somerville, TN. He died September 7, 2022, in Memphis, TN. T Richardson moved to Lambert Street in Memphis, TN at the age of 17. He met Evelyn when she was at the age of 16. They were united into Holy matrimony in 1995. T Richardson joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and was stationed in Germany. In the wake of this experience, he suffered a post-traumatic stress disorder, which was later diagnosed as PTSD and returned to Memphis with an honorable discharge. In the early 1970s he began his master tailoring career. He began sewing clothing and creating clothing designs. These designs were taken to four corners of the world by an elite clientele. With his two sons, Anthony and Marcellus Richardson, he opened a second tailor shop on Watkins and Brown in Memphis, TN (T RICHARDSON AND SONS TAILOR SHOP). As a result of his interest in fashion, he was involved in some of today’s fashion trends. In 2003, T Richardson joined The Old Landmark Deliverance Church and confessed Christ as his lord and savior. There he was baptized and joined the deacon board and served under Pastor Elder A.R. Richardson, Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved sons Marcellus and Erique Richardson, and brother Earl Grandberry Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Evelyn Richardson; a son, Anthony Richardson (Mercey); five daughters, Adrian Sugars (Orlando, FL), Carolyn Hayslett, Kenisha Cannon (St. Louis, MO), Ebony Bell, Jasmine Richardson, and one God-daughter, Patrice Wilson.; two brothers, Doctor Richardson (Henretta) and Daniel Granberry (Jacqueline,; four sisters, Shirley Hurdle, Jacqueline Paige (Lysander), Annie Marie Grandberry, and Renitha Hayslett; and a host of grandchildren, nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends.
