Jebari Shermaine Griffin was born on May 1, 1983, in Greenville, MS to Rena M. Baker and the late Warren Griffin. He loved to travel and spend time with family. Jebari loved to cook. He enjoyed taking simple foods to create something mouthwatering and special. With this passion, Jebari worked as a chef at numerous restaurants here in Memphis.
Jebari was preceded in death by his father Warren Griffin, one brother Kapheus Hargrove, maternal grandparents Calvin and Oddesser Baker, paternal grandparents Alex, Sr and Cleora Jones, and two uncles Carl Baker and Wendell Jones.
Jebari leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Rena Baker; 12 children, Monterrious Griffin, Ken’Niya Brooks, Trevari Talley, Jebari Talley, Mayyadah Alazben, Robin Griffin, J’Kwan Griffin, Romel Griffin, Romero Griffin, Kaden Simmson, Jewel Griffin and J’cere Griffin, 3 sisters, DeQuona (Dennis) Taylor, Atlantis Shead, and Kameta Hopkins, 5 brothers, Phelan Shead, Kendall Hargrove, Kedrick Hargrove, Foryea Evans and Warren Malone, his partner, Brenaye Reid, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nephews, a great niece and cousins.
