Bea Austin, 86, died April 19, 2020.
Celebrating the life of Bea W. Austin, our mother was born January 7, 1934 in Como, Mississippi to the late Joe and Eliza Rodgers. She later moved to Memphis where she met her husband the late Calvin R Austin Sr. Calvin and Bea accepted Christ in their life in Cocoa Beach, Florida. They later moved to Memphis in 1969 and placed their membership at Southside Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. Robert Bond. Our mother remained a faithful member until her death.
From this union 11 children were born, our mother leaves to cherish her amazing memories Eligah Sr. (Diane, deceased), Timothy (Ollie), Ruthie, Rose, Naomi, Demetris (Larry), Ida (William), Angelo, Wanda, Wendy, Calvin ll (Mimi). Also 5 step daughters, one sister Ormy Martin, one brother Charles Nelson (Phyllis) a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Six brothers and one sister preceeded her in death.
