Chester "Buddy" Langston, age 87, died September 14, 2022.
Buddy Langston age 87, passed away peacefully at home with family on September 14th. He was born May 28th, 1935, in Independence MS. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Robert C. and Myrtle A. Langston, as well as his 5 brothers and 4 sisters including his twin sister Ester, children Sharon Hollie, Michael Mayo and his grandson Jason Robert Ramey. Buddy is survived by wife of 38 years Elizabeth Perez Langston. Children, Pat Langston Bryant, Scott Langston, Marie Cooper and Wayne Hollie. Grandchildren Sharon, Michael, Brittany, Buck, Hayden, Leah and Mallee. Buddy also leaves 8 Great Grandchildren. Buddy retired from Nurre Glass and made many wonderful friends in the 50 plus years he worked in the glass industry. Buddy lived a very full life. Hobbies included Water skiing (in his earlier years), travel, running barrels for catfish, gardening and always working on some kind of project. Buddy was always known to be an extremely hard worker who always stayed busy working on stuff well into retirement. He was also a very kind and loving man. Many described him as “The Best Man I Know”. Buddy was always kind to everyone and would be glad to help in any way he could. He was definitely a strong man, the Rock everyone could lean on in times of need. Buddy is loved by many and will truly be missed.
Psalm 46:1-2 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea.
