Obituaries
On February 10, 1985, Heaven allowed one of its angels to be placed here on Earth in the care of the late Mr. Joseph Porter and Mrs. Sandra Terrell.
Christopher accepted Christ at an early age at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Christopher received his formal education with the Memphis City Schools (Springhill Elementary and Trezevant Junior and Senior High Schools) where he was known as “BIG CHRIS.”
As a child, “BIG CHRIS” played football, and in his latter years he grew to love music, in which he recorded several songs with friends that were never released.
He was employed for numerous years at Interstate Blood Bank and was currently employed at DHL Express.
On October 15, 2017, God allowed Chris to close his eyes and enter into his heavenly rest. “No more pain, no more suffering, but rest beyond the river.”
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mrs. Sandra Terrell; two sons, Christian L. Terrell and Amir C. Terrell; one daughter he raised as his own, Tamiyah Perkins; one brother, Mr. Sherrod Terrell; his grandmother, Mrs. Mattie Porter; his children’s mothers, Tamara Perkins and Shemetris Winfrey; his special cousin Rodriques “Rod” Wilborn; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends
