Obituary for Delois Burnett
Delois Burnett, 58, died October 12, 2016.

Delois Fair Burnett-Cedeno was born to Willie Fair and the late Gertrude Fair, on November 9, 1957 in Shaw, Mississippi, Delois was the fifth of 8 siblings.
Delois accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee under the leadership of Rev. James Mack. She later reaffirmed her faith in Christ when she united with Peoples Baptist Church in Boston, Massachusetts under the leadership of Dr. Wesley A. Roberts.
Delois graduated from South Side High School in May 1974. She worked in Ophthalmology at MidSouth Hospital. After moving to Boston, she worked for her oldest sister at E.D. Fair Insurance Agency.

Delois received an Associate degree from Roxbury Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Suffolk University. She received a Masters of Education from Cambridge College in 2000 which allowed her to pursue the profession of her dream, education. Delois worked at Nathan Hale Elementary School for 16 years until her health failed. With a passion for excellence and a love of God’s most precious gifts, she continued to study in order to equip her first grade students to excel in reading, writing, math and science with the highest competency for first graders in Boston public schools.
Delois was united in matrimony to the love of her life Patrick Cedeno in July 3, 2004. Patrick and LaTonya dearly and patiently loved and cared for Delois through her final breath on October 12, 2016 at 3:00 A.M.

Delois loved reading, watching real old westerns and comedies, football games with Patrick, politics, and a favorite past-times was talking to her father 2 to 3 times a day.
Delois leaves to cherish her loving memories: her father, Willie Fair; her husband and devoted caregiver, Patrick Cedeno; a loving and devoted daughter, LaTonya Burnett (Keith); a step-son, Kevin Cedeno; a granddaughter, Zena; three sisters, Ethel Carter(Lance), Rev. Sallie Powell (Charles), Tina Woodruff; four brothers Rev. James Fair (Stephanie), Apostle George Fair (April), Rev. Billy Fair (Cheryl), and Antonio Fair; eight nieces, 5 nephews, a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation from 11:00 a.m., with service following at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home, Burial in New Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Charles Powell, Jr., Jonathan Fair, George Fair, Jr., Caleb Fair, and Kylan Miller
