Jessie T. Dodson, Sr., 88, died November 24, 2016.
Jessie T. Dodson Sr., was born to the late, Rodell Dodson Sr. and the late, Annie Hayes Dodson on August 4, 1928 in Barton, Mississippi. He accepted Christ at an early age at Shiloh M. B. Church under the leadership of the late, Reverend Cheers.
He was called into the Biblical Deacons Ministry, where he served until his heath failed and death.
Jessie was a dedicated husband and father, who believed in serving God with his whole heart. He departed this life on November 24, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mary Frances Cole on February 23, 1971.

Dodson Jr. (Annette), Alfred Glenn Dodson (Marilyn), Terry Lynn Dodson, & James Shelton; 5 daughters: Mary Jean Jackson, Francine Burford, Subernia Jasper (Lewis), Earnest Marie Davis & Mary Frances Peters; 3 sisters: Annie Rose Washington, Inola Newton (Ronald), & Lola Marshall; 5 brothers: Frankie B. Dodson, Ozell Dodson, John Dodson Sr., Roy B. Dodson, & Rodell Dodson Jr.; 22 grandkids; 49 great grandkids & 15 great-great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodell & Annie Dodson; 6 brothers: Evell Dodson, Jonathan Dodson, Eugene Dodson, Lee Dodson, Floyd Dodson, & Ulysses Dodson; 3 grandsons: Terrance Dodson, Tracy Dodson, Lonnie Jackson Jr., & Derrick Dwayne Dodson; one great granddaughter, Kierra Burford.
He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends.
