Obituary for Melvin Antoine Welch
Melvin Antoine Welch, 56, died October 17, 2020.
Melvin was born October 12, 1964 to the late Marcie and Woody. Melvin professed the hope in Christ under Pastor Mike Joy at Temple Of Judah Apostolic Ministries (T.O.J.A.M). As Melvin attended the Salvation Army Adult Center, He received a certificate accomplishing his matters. Melvin went on to obtain his GED at The Martin Luther King Jr. Excel Center Program while working at the Piccadilly restaurant (Germantown). On numerous occasions, he was named employee of the month. He acquired certificates for being one of the best employees. Melvin took on the caregiver title when his older sister (Cookie) became ill. He was always there whenever needed. Melvin was well-known in the community by the name of “BullFrog”. Melvin was also the neighborhood “handy man”, He was always called on due to the trust everyone had of him.
Melvin will forever be remembered by his family and friends as always to light up the room on a dull day with his warmingly smile and humorous laugh. Melvin now joins his mother Marcie L. Welch, sister Ester Rapier, and brother Gregory Welch who now precedes him in death.
Melvin leaves to celebrate his memories, his loving sisters Saundria Hillman, Sheri Jones, Sherilyn Bell-Toney, Pamela Welch, LaTonya Raquel Welch and one brother Gerald Welch all of Memphis Tennessee. Melvin also leads to cherish his memories, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends around the community.
