Obituary for Wilma Henry
Wilma Henry, 94 passed away on July 17, 2022. Memaw, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Dumas, MS to Terry Stanford and Lucy White Stanford. She married Sam Tucker Henry in 1954. She lived in Memphis for most of her life and was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Bartlett.
Memaw was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Tucker Henry; brother, William Stanford; a sister, Essie D. Stanford; grandson, David Tucker and great grandson, Brennan Tucker.
She is survived by son Jerry Reed and wife Treva, daughters Carolyn Tucker and husband Kenneth, Judi Eastserwood and husband Perry and Kat Wise and husband Dan. Memaw is also survived by grandchildren, Dee Ellis and husband Mark, Jerry Reed Jr and wife Laura, Robbin Williams and husband Allen, Kenny Sims and wife Crissy and Brandy Cowles and husband Josh, 10 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a brother Wayne Stanford and sisters Allie Bevell, Ruth Richardson and Nellie Baker.
Services will be at Serenity Funeral Home, 1638 Sycamore View, Memphis, TN on Thursday July 21st. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM with the service following at 11:00 AM.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Kings Daughters and Sons Home in Bartlett in her memory.
