Yasmin Anderson, 43, died May 22, 2019.

Yasmin Denett Smith-Anderson was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Thelma Marie Smith and the late Johnny Lee Smith on March 19, 1976. At the age of three, she moved to Wichita, Kansas and attended Wichita Public Schools. Yasmin was a member of The St. Mark Church of God in Christ under the late Bishop J.C. Gilkey, Sr. and the late Mother Gladys Gilkey. Yasmin participated in Sunshine Band, Scholastic Motivational Ministries and Youth Choir. She was saved at an early age and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of twelve. She loved the Lord and loved traveling to the Church of God in Christ Holy Convocation in Memphis, Tennessee as a child. Later in life, she moved to Memphis,Tennessee, and came to know the Lord more personally and developed a closer walk with Him through a long period of illness and personal struggle. As a Believer in Jesus Christ, she was excited about learning the Word and eagerly shared her testimony with others. Yasmin was well known and greatly loved by everyone who knew her. She had a vibrant personality, a wonderful sense of humor and could make you laugh in the midst of your worst day. She was friendly, loving, kind, and generous to family and friends. She was always lending a helping hand to anyone she thought was in need, and had a special love for her nieces and nephews. Her favorite pastime was hanging out with family and friends, listening to music and spending time with her beloved dog, Gizmo. Yasmin made her transition on May 22, 2019 in the early morning hours at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Yasmin was preceded in death by her father Johnny Lee Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother Mrs. Thelma Smith of the home; sisters, Linda Tipler of Atlanta, Georgia; Janet Sisney of Memphis, Tennessee; Teresa Green and Lisa Smith of Wichita, Kansas; Jennifer Deberry and brothers Johnny Lee Smith, Jr. and Tyrone Deberry of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Herbert Smith and Brian Smith of Wichita, Kansas; and Ronnie Jones of St. Louis, Missouri; Aunts Lois P.
